The Sixer Sense Podcast brings you the latest news related to the Philadelphia 76ers. There was a game this week worthy of discussing, where the Sixers went into Indiana and caught fire in the first half. Also, there are NBA awards we want to give out as the season comes to a close soon. First though, we start off with analysis of the Indiana Pacers game.
Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline open things up on the podcast with a red hot Sixers team that shot the lights out for two quarters. We discuss who had an outstanding game and how the Pacers were able to creep back in to make things a little uncomfortable for Sixers fans. Joel Embiid was unstoppable while Tyrese Maxey was a walking bucket in the first half. We wrap up that game and then move on to regular season awards.
The Sixer Sense award ballots
We next topic the podcast covers the most prominent individual awards. We discuss Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and the Most Valuable Player. The podcast offers conventional thoughts on player achievements, but then things get heated when Uriah debates Chris on Matisse Thybulle’s absence from a top defensive player list.
The conversation then shifts to team awards. We bring up All-Defensive Teams as well as All NBA Teams. Where does Joel Embiid fit on this list? Did James Harden make one of the All NBA Teams? What about Matisse Thybulle for All-Defensive Team?
The last topic is a more original list of achievement categories. We give out the Not So Great awards for the first time on the Sixer Sense Podcast. Who do we think gets the Biggest Flopper award? Marcus Smart or Kyle Lowry? We also give out the Who Needs to Retire award. Which Sixer was picked for this, and who picked a culture guy from Miami? The last two awards are the Stop Shooting award and Dirtiest Player award.
