As the playoffs rage on, it’s never too early to start looking at potential free agents. The postseason has proven that the Philadelphia 76ers have a weak bench, so free agency will be important for the franchise this offseason.
Each of the playoff teams in the Eastern Conference have at least one free agent that could improve Philly’s bench. The players are listed by where their teams are ranked in the playoff bracket for the East. With that being written, let’s begin.
Best free agent target of each Eastern Conference playoff team: Miami Heat
This isn’t the first time I’ve had Victor Oladipo as a potential free agent target. He’s a former All-Star who spent most of this season rehabbing. With the frontcourt already set on the Miami Heat with Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, and Tyler Herro already established.
In my previous article, I wrote that Oladipo would be an ideal sixth man for the Sixers. Head coach Doc Rivers has done well with elite sixth men before with the likes of Jamal Crawford and Lou Williams. The question with going after Oladipo is are they going to be able to afford him?
