Best free agent target of each Western Conference playoff team: Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were a pleasant surprise in the NBA. They have a nice dynamic core Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns to build around for the future. However, the Sixers should try to sign one of their role players this offseason.

Taurean Prince has developed into a solid 3-and-D forward in his career. He’s a solid defender and while he’s a bit streaky as a shooter, he’s overall a good player. He’s an ideal type of player the Philadelphia 76ers need next year and should be affordable too.

While it would be ideal if the 76ers could land Jose Alvarado, he’s a restricted free agent and it seems unlikely the New Orleans Pelicans will let him just walk. Therefore the only other two options are forwards Gary Clark and Tony Snell.

Considering that Clark was on a two-way contract for Philly once before, Snell would be the most realistic option for Philly. Like Porter, Snell was a target of mine last season. Snell is limited as a player but he’s a good end-of-the-bench guy who can be a stop-gap starter who can shoot the ball well.

There are some solid free agent options for the Sixers to scout on the Western Conference playoff teams and it will be interesting to see if they end up signing any of them this offseason.
