3 potential Thybulle trades: Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers are in the midst of what they hope to be a short-term rebuild centered around Damian Lillard. While Lillard’s future isn’t super clear, the Blazers’ goal is to add nice young pieces around the perennial All-Star.
The Blazers have always struggled as a defensive team during Lilliard’s tenure so if they decide to target a lockdown defender like Thybulle, it wouldn’t be unexpected. Below is one way to get a deal done.
The Philadelphia 76ers get a good two-way player in Josh Hart who can help as a starter or a reserve for the club. The Sixers do give up some depth in this deal to Portland. The Blazers get Thybulle, Springer, and Furkan Korkmaz.
To be honest there’s a chance the Sixers might have to add draft capital to this trade in order to get a deal done here. Hart is in his prime and as previously stated a good two-way player, but if the Blazers want elite perimeter defense, then going for a player like Thybulle would help them achieve that.
