The Sixer Sense Podcast brings the latest topics that surround this Sixers team in what is sure to be an interesting offseason. This episode dives into several players who could be on the trade block, a controversial role related to Joel Embiid, and what each lottery team needs in this upcoming NBA draft. First, we start things off with a once Philly fan favorite whose rising star has seemingly crashed after a subpar playoff performance.

Matisse Thybulle recently earned a spot in the NBA All-Defensive second team. For some disappointed Philly fans though, they’d be happier if he’d take his services to another team. With rumors of Zach Lavine’s Chicago days being numbered, there are reports that Thybulle could be a trade piece in exchange for Lavine. We discuss how Lavine would fit with the Sixers and who else would have to depart Philly along with Thybulle.

Matisse Thybulle is already in the rumor mill. Who might the Sixers trade this offseason?

The podcast also brings up several other Sixers players who could be included in a potential trade before the start of the season. Do we think Tobias Harris should return for the Sixers? Is Shake Milton deserving of another chance on the roster? What about Furkan Kormaz? We debate who should will be back next year and who will be gone.

Then, a controversial take is made on the Sixers MVP runner-up, Joel Embiid. The idea was floated that Joel Embiid should not be the first offensive option. Instead, it was brought up that Tyrese Maxey should have the ball in his hands more to initiate the offense, while Embiid would become more of a 3-point shooter. What would be the point of this theory? As crazy as it sounds, would the team benefit from a system that deviates from a back-to-the-basket configuration that Sixers fans have become accustomed to the past five years?

The podcast then pivots to the NBA Draft Lottery. We go down the list of teams that secured a high draft pick and identify the needs of each franchise. Which teams need a top tier wing player? Who could use a frontcourt player to solidify the middle? Listen and find out!
