35. Gary Payton II, G
After being a journeyman for most of his career, Gary Payton II finally found his place in the NBA as a good defender at the guard position. The 6-foot-3 guard isn’t a good playmaker and is very limited on offense. Honestly, Payton might be high on this list, but the 29-year-old best free agent fit is to re-sign with the Warriors.
34. Derrick Jones Jr., F
Derrick Jones Jr. might be undersized for the forward spot at 6-foot-5, but he’s one of the best athletes in the NBA. He was primarily a defender and slasher throughout his career. He had a solid with the Chicago Bulls but wasn’t a threat from downtown. The 25-year-old was a free agent target I’ve ready written about for the 76ers this offseason.
“It would be nice for Thaddeus Young to finish his career as a member of the 76ers.”
33. Thaddeus Young, PF/C
The former Philadelphia 76ers reserve big man has been written about as a free agent target already this offseason. The 33-year-old played for both the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors. The 6-foot-8 big man is a solid two-way player but when will his age start catching up with him. It would be nice for Thaddeus Young to finish his career as a member of the 76ers.
32. Nemanja Bjelica, PF/C
Nemanja Bjelica finally embraced played center for the Warriors this past season and he played well at the position. The 6-foot-10 big man’s main value is on offense with his floor spacing ability. The 34-year-old is a smart defender despite not having the athleticism to play well on that end.
31. Chris Boucher, C/PF
This isn’t the first time I’ve written about the Raptors’ 6-foot-9 big man. Chris Boucher is a long big man with a nice outside shot. The biggest problem is that the 29-year-old is very thin for his size. However, he’s the type of big man that should intrigue the Sixers’ front office.
