The Sixers have another option this off-season due to the latest development involving the Brooklyn Nets. We start off this episode of the Sixer Sense Podcast with the deferment of the 23rd draft pick, which can be used in a few ways. Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline explore one option, which is to actually select a young player who has the potential to develop for the Sixers. They also discuss the idea of trading the pick in part of a deal for a more established player.

We then pivot to the latest news that Joel Embiid had surgical procedures on his hands. We discuss how surprised we were that he was playing with two injured fingers along with a facial bone fracture. We also offer Embiid praise for playing in such a banged up condition in the playoffs.
The next topic revolves around a list of unrestricted free agents that Lucas recently compiled. The podcast really deep dives into a number of players who would fit on the Sixers’ roster and who would be affordable based on the salary cap. Aside from the big fish UFA Zach LaVine, we bring up players like Wes Matthews, Isaiah Thomas, Carmelo Anthony, and Delon Wright.
We also mention players who the Sixers should avoid in unrestricted free agency for a number of reasons. Who is bearish on Austin Rivers for obvious reasons? What is the reluctance for signing Montrezl Harrell? We offer quite a few veterans we think the Sixers need to steer clear from this summer.
The podcast then turns to the NBA Finals for a game one preview. Lucas, Chris, and Uriah offer predictions based on experience, matchups, postseason stats, and one superstitious theory brought up related to the Kardashian curse. We compare and contrast stars on both teams. Who picks the Celtics to win? Who goes with the Warriors? Listen to find out!
