10. Mike Muscala, PF/C: Philadelphia 76ers tenure (2018-19)
I had Mike Muscala ranked eighth on my team-option free agent big board. He’s a stretch big who isn’t good defensively so he’s not the ideal free agent target for the Sixers. Who knows, the Oklahoma City Thunder may decide to keep him so having him on this list is pointless.
9. Trey Burke, PG: Philadelphia 76ers tenure (2019-20)
In my play-option free agent big board, Trey Burke was ranked 17th. The score first point guard has found a home with the Dallas Mavericks. It’s unlikely that Burke will leave the Mavericks this offseason but if he did, I wouldn’t mind him coming back to Philly.
8. Greg Monroe, C: Philadelphia 76ers tenure (2018-19)
Look, I get that most Sixers fans don’t want anything to do with Greg Monroe after he essentially cost Philly a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2019. However, the 32-year-old is one of the better post scorers in the NBA, and thanks to exile to the G-League the 6-foot-11 big man came back as a better defender with several teams this past season, including the Minnesota Timberwolves.
7. Andre Iguodala, F: Philadelphia 76ers tenure (2004-12)
Andre Iguodala is competing in the NBA finals right now, but the 38-year-old began his career with the 76ers. It feels like the 6-foot-6 will either stay with the Golden State Warriors or retire versus go somewhere else. However, it would be nice if he retired in Philly.
6. Dwight Howard, C: Philadelphia 76ers tenure (2020-21)
It’s fair to say that Dwight Howard was one of the better backups for Joel Embiid during Embiid’s career with the Sixers. Howard is well past his prime at 36-years-old, but the 6-foot-10 big man was still a quality big man. Howard isn’t a full-time backup anymore, but he can still provide good minutes in the right situations.
