2022 NBA Mock Draft — 16. Tari Eason, Hawks

The Hawks’ defense needs a major boost. Tari Eason was one of the most disruptive and chaotic defenders in college basketball last season. At 6-foot-7, Eason can guard all over the floor. He plays with relentless hustle and was one of the best players in the SEC last season despite coming off the bench. The Hawks could also be getting rid of John Collins soon, which could open up minutes at the forward spots.

2022 NBA Mock Draft — 17. Ousmane Dieng, Rockets

Ousmane Dieng is 6-foot-10 with fluid handles and enticing flashes of shot-making. He’s extremely raw, however, and the production doesn’t currently line up with his theoretical skill set. The Rockets are taking the patient approach to this rebuild and should happily invest in high-upside prospects like Dieng, even if the pick probably won’t bear fruit in year one.

2022 NBA Mock Draft — 18. Jalen Williams, Bulls

Jalen Williams grew up playing guard before a growth spurt pushed him to the wing. Now, he blends 3-point shooting, versatile defense, and playmaking skills in a manner that should interest every team. The Bulls already have multiple ball-handlers in the rotation, but Williams’ quick processing and diverse skill set should allow him to contribute amply.
