2022 NBA Mock Draft — 19. MarJon Beauchamp, Timberwolves

The Timberwolves need more composure and toughness beyond Patrick Beverley, who doesn’t always check off the “composure” box himself. MarJon Beauchamp’s path to the G-League Ignite was long and winding, but he impressed last season. He can defend multiple positions, explode into the lane for above-rim finishes, and make swift passing reads.

. C. San Antonio Spurs. Walker Kessler. 20. player. 29

2022 NBA Mock Draft — 20. Walker Kessler, Spurs

The Spurs are probably in the market for Jakob Poeltl’s eventual replacement. Walker Kessler fits the bill. A dominant shot-blocker with hulking size and nimble feet, Kessler should provide immediate results in the frontcourt. He forces guards to think twice about venturing inside, and he’s an excellent finisher at the rim on the other end.

Denver Nuggets. TyTy Washington Jr.. 21. player. 73. . G

The Nuggets grab another Kentucky guard to slot into the backcourt next to Jamal Murray. Denver was plagued by injuries all of last season, but Washington’s slick handles and excellent floor vision would help ease some of the burden currently on Nikola Jokic’s shoulders. On top of giving Denver another playmaker, he has the positional size to play next to Murray, Bones Hyland, and the rest of Denver’s guard gaggle.
