The NBA draft is just a few days away and the Philadelphia 76ers‘ front office has to consider every scenario. That includes trading players currently on the roster for draft picks or other players.

With that in mind, there are three players that the Sixers should be on the trading block heading into the 2022 NBA draft.

3 most likely players to be traded during the draft: Jaden Springer

It might seem strange to have the Philadelphia 76ers’ first round pick from last year’s draft on this list, but in the grand scheme of things trading Jaden Springer makes sense for Philly. The Sixers need players that can contribute now whereas Springer is still in the early stages of his development.

Springer only played two games for the 76ers this past season and only accumulated six total NBA minutes. Springer spent most of his season in the G-League with Philly’s affiliate the Delaware Blue Coats.

It’s true that Springer did see growth in a lot of areas, especially defensively, but he failed to develop a reliable 3-point shot. In the G-League’s regular season he averaged 15.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals while converting just 22.2 percent from the 3-point line.

Springer is a solid prospect at 19 years old who should be able to develop into a role player down the line but he’s still a raw prospect. The Sixers should look to trade the young shooting guard for a rotational veteran during the draft and possibly snag a second round pick in the process. He could also be used in a bigger deal as a sweetener or salary filler.
