Top 30 NBA shooting guards — 27. Kevin Huerter, Kings
Kevin Huerter continues to fly under the radar in Atlanta. Both knockdown shooter and plus defender, Huerter aptly fills the 3-and-D mold that so many teams crave. He’s more than just a spot-up shooter too: Huerter can beat closeouts, hit one or two-dribble pull-ups, and create for others off the drive. He’s a smart all-around player who consistently makes his presence felt on both ends of the floor for Atlanta.
Top 30 NBA shooting guards — 26. Will Barton, Nuggets
Will Barton’s role was too big for him to carry in the wake of Jamal Murray’s injury, but even so, the Nuggets have to be happy with his production. He’s a slippery scorer with snake-like athleticism and a gorgeous in-between game. He can hit spot-up 3s, create for himself in a pinch, and provide competent (if not particularly great) defense on the wing.
Top 30 NBA shooting guards — 25. Caris LeVert, Cavaliers
Caris LeVert’s production fluctuated in Cleveland, but he ultimately proved quite important to the team’s success down the stretch. As the team navigated injury upon injury, LeVert’s steadfast shot-making and presence as a secondary ball-handler next to Darius Garland was invaluable. He played point for some stretches and was often the player who could break Cleveland out of slumps with his penchant for tough shots.
