The best Sixers

Tyler Bey: 2 PTS | 2 REB | 0 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 1 PF | 1-1 FGs | 0-0 3Ps | 0-0 FTs | 8 MIN

Tyler Bey didn’t get to play for very long, but in limited minutes, the forward did have two very high basketball I.Q. moments on both ends of the court. Bey’s not going to get very many minutes moving forward so it’s good he’s making the most of it.

Malik Ellison: 4 PTS | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 0 TO | 2 PF | 2-2 FGs | 0-0 3Ps | 0-0 FTs | 19 MIN

In his first taste of Sixers Summer League action, Malik Ellison showed promise on both ends of the floor. He’s 6-foot-6 so he has good size to him. This performance might have earned him more minutes moving forward.

Charlie Brown: 12 PTS | 3 REB | 0 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 3 PF | 4-7 FGs | 0-2 3Ps | 4-5 FTs | 18 MIN

It was sad to see Charlie Brown Jr. go down with an injury in the second half of the game. However, prior to that injury, Brown was playing so well it should warrant consideration from the Sixers front office on whether or not he needs to be put onto the regular season roster and not just a two-way deal.

Myles Powell: 13 PTS | 2 REB | 3 AST | 4 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 5 PF | 5-13 FGs | 3-7 3Ps | 0-0 FTs | 16 MIN

After not having his two-way contract renewed, Myles Powell came out in this game with a vengeance. He was clearly the Sixers’ best scorer off the bench in this matchup and the best 3-point shooter as well.

Trevelin Queen: 15 PTS | 4 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 3 PF | 5-12 FGs | 1-4 3Ps | 4-4 FTs | 21 MIN

This was Trevelin Queen‘s first Summer League game and despite looking out of rhythm at times, he was still able to have a positive impact. As the Summer League continues to progress he should look better and more comfortable.

Charles Bassey: 17 PTS | 9 REB | 0 AST | 4 STL | 0 BLK | 4 TO | 5 PF | 7-12 FGs | 0-0 3Ps | 3-4 FTs | 26 MIN

This game was dominated by Charles Bassey on both ends of the court. He was a force defensively and on offense, he played the role as the dive man in the pick-and-roll perfectly. If Bassey can play like this during the regular season, the Sixers’ depth will be in good hands.

At the end of the night, the Sixers came away with the win which is the most important thing. However, it’s nice to see that several players made positive strides as well.
