Ice Cube’s Big 3 league is in its mid-season swing right now and it’s certainly fun for fans who love to see former NBA players. That is no less true for the fans of the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason with eight former players who are in the Big 3.
Former Philadelphia 76ers in the Big 3: Corey Brewer and Jonathon Simmons
Corey Brewer was a 13-year veteran wing in the NBA who spent part of his 12th season with the Sixers. One of his most iconic moments with the franchise was when he was guarding then-Houston Rockets star James Harden star during the 2018-19 season. As a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, he averaged 7.6 points and 1.6 steals.
In the Big 3, Brewer is a member of the Bivouac as a co-captain. This season he has averaged 14.3 points and 4.8 rebounds. He’s the second leading only behind Gerald Green. The Bivouac ranked 8th in the Big 3 ranking with a 2-3 record.
When the 76ers traded Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic, Jonathon Simmons was the one player Philly received back in the deal. His stint in Philly ended up being his last despite still being just 29 years old. With the Sixers, he averaged 5.5 points on 42.9 percent from the 3-point.
Simmons is on the 3-Headed Monsters as a co-captain. He’s the fourth leading scorer on the team with Kevin Murphy, Quincy Miller, and Rashard Lewis ahead of him on the scoring depth chart. For the 4-1 3-Headed Monsters, Simmons is averaging 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds.
