12. Pelicans: Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram

Despite being teammates for three seasons, there are hasn’t been that many games that Zion Williams and Brandon Ingram have shared the court with each other. Yet, despite that, there’s a chance they could be a dark horse contender in the West.

Outside of that duo, the Pelicans also have CJ McCollum and Jonas Valanciunas as great starters as well. Let’s not forget other key role players like Herbert Jones and Jose Alvarado who can impact the flow of a game.

Getting back to the top two players, Ingram has developed into a legit All-Star player after being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers at the second overall spot. The skills aren’t the issue for Ingram, his slim frame holds him back from being something more than an All-Star.Ingram’s fit with Williamson isn’t the smoothest either due to both players being best with the ball in their hands.

Williamson is one of the most dominant interior players on offense in the NBA. The issue with his frame is that he’s carrying too much weight. If both young stars can add or subtract the proper amount of weight to their frame, the Pelicans will be in a very good position moving forward.
