25. Hornets: LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges

The Charlotte Hornets are having a rough offseason. Montrezl Harrell and Miles Bridges are dealing with serious legal issues. They also re-hired former head coach Steve Clifford. Overall it has been a weird offseason for the Hornets.

On the court, the Hornets took a step in the right direction last season. They saw player development with LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges. Those two ended up being the team’s core and dynamic duo as well.

“…he is clearly one of the best playmakers in the NBA.”

There’s a real chance that Bridges may see jail time soon based on his legal issues. However, on the court, Bridges was one of the most improved players in the NBA last season. He’s become a force as a two-way player and was one of the best dunkers in the league.

Ball made his first All-Star appearance last season and he is clearly one of the best playmakers in the NBA. However, he still needs to improve as a defender to be an elite start in the league. The Hornets need to make sure they keep him happy at all costs.
