Sixers podcast: Preseason lessons and the most interesting NBA teams
By Uriah Young
As the Eagles and Phillies overachieve in their respective sports, the Sixers will soon have their chance to exceed expectations as early as next week. The Sixers finished their preseason against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. With a win at home, the 76ers closed up with a 4-0 record as they head into opening night versus Boston.
We start the podcast off discussing the Sixers’ win over the Hornets. Without LaMelo Ball in the lineup, the Hornets would have to make due versus a confident Sixers team. Which Philly starters handled business as usual? What role players showed why they deserve minutes to start the season? How did Doc Rivers handle the rotation?
Once we wrap up the 76ers’ perfect preseason, we dive into the lessons learned from the small sample of games. Although it was only four games, some observations are worth discussing, and some just cannot be overlooked. Who exactly stood out in the preseason? What makes us optimistic about the season? Who should we be concerned about on the Sixers roster?
With so many narratives around the league, there some juicy topics to discuss. We pivot to NBA teams and players that intrigue us the most. Who is more curious about Cleveland, and who is interested in the Minnesota Timberwolves? As far as players, who will have their eyes on Evan Mobley’s development? Who favors the young players in Oklahoma City taking leaps?
