Reasons the Philadelphia 76ers lose to bad teams
2. Defense and rebounding – Pay attention people on the court being paid to play!
When the Sixers are upset by a far lesser team, it usually follows the same script: a bunch of turnovers (usually of the unforced variety), bad transition defense leading to a ton of easy layups and getting killed on the boards.
It is kind of a conundrum that the Sixers are both a poor offensive rebounding team and also do not get back on defense after a missed shot very well. I mean, what are they doing? Apparently just standing around is what statistics say.

It is more that the Sixers lose the game than the other team goes out a grabs victory. And, hey, if a team with a bad record has a chance to knock off an elite team like the Sixers, they are going to go all-out to do so, if given the chance.
The Sixers job is to not leave the door open to do so. Even tanking teams want to win. The players do not get anything from losing all the time, except unemployment, so they will try to win.
Again, the Sixers can not play with their food in these situations. They need to stomp them like a bug.
