player. 34. . SG. Portland Trail Blazers. Anfernee Simons. 12

Anfernee Simons continues to electrify offensively, operating with extreme effectiveness as Damian Lillard’s backcourt co-star. He still doesn’t defend much — the age-old Dame + CJ debate, born anew — but Simons has the athleticism and length to one day become an impactful defender if he so chooses. His explosive athleticism and impressive shot-making will sustain him for now.

Philadelphia 76ers. Tyrese Maxey . 11. player. 93. . SG

Tyrese Maxey’s unique blend of touch and speed has quickly made him one of the NBA’s deadliest third options. Afforded plenty of space to operate with defenses key in to Joel Embiid and James Harden, Maxey can torch rotating defenses with swift, decisive moves to the rim. Keep him behind the 3-point line, and he’ll bury you with pull-up, side-step, or spot-up jumpers alike. He needs to get better as a defender and passer to take the next step.

Devin Vassell. 10. player. 29. . SG. San Antonio Spurs

Devin Vassell is the foundation of San Antonio’s rebuild. Hitting over 40 percent of his 3s, emerging as a dangerous mid-range threat, and steadily improving his playmaking chops, Vassell looks like the head of the snake moving forward. He’s also an impressive defender at 6-foot-7, camping out in passing lanes and making his presence felt against the league’s elite wing scorers.
