Ranking 76ers’ Tobias Harris and the top 30 NBA small forwards
Cam Johnson doesn’t jump off the screen athletically, nor does he saturate the box score with crazy numbers. But, therein lies the charm: he can bomb 3s, make quick decisions with the ball, and defend multiple positions. He’s not a star, but he’s the kind of guy you want next to your stars.
At 6-foot-10, Michael Porter Jr. ranks as one of the best pure shooters in the sport. He can hit shots from any angle, needing very little space to bury leather in nylon. He has a long way to go defensively and his decision-making in general can be maddening, but he has some truly special offensive flourishes.
Franz Wagner is knocking on the door of stardom in year two. Very few 6-foot-9 wings can do what Wagner can: not only can he score, but he’s a potent playmaker out of the pick-and-roll with advanced handles and a deep bag of tricks finishing in the painted area. Plus, he’s a strong defender who will only get better from here.
