The Washington Wizards have fallen out of the play-in tournament field with back-to-back losses to the Atlanta Hawks, and now they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday evening.

Philly has won four straight games and holds the No. 3 spot in the East, but the team has dropped two of its three matchups with Washington this season.

However, all three of those matchups came before the calendar turned to 2023, so Washington hasn’t seen some of Philly’s best basketball this season.

Do the Sixers keep their win streak going tonight?

Here’s the latest odds and a pick for this game:

Wizards vs. Sixers odds, spread and total

Wizards vs. Sixers prediction and pick

The Sixers are one of the best teams in the NBA as home favorites, going 17-12-1 against the spread so far this season.

Washington is over .500 ATS as a road underdog (13-12-2 against the spread), but there are a few statistics that make them a tough team to bet on this spot.

It starts with the Wizards’ defense, as they rank 20th in the league in defensive rating this season and 21st in net rating.

Philly, who is inside the top 10 in the NBA in offensive rating, defensive rating and effective field goal percentage, should be able to score at will in this game, especially now that it is facing Washington with Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey all healthy.

The Wizards have hovered on the play-in tournament line all season, but the fact of the matter is, their advanced numbers show us they are a bottom-10 team in the league. That’s not going to hold up against the Sixers.
