3. Georges Niang

It will be interesting to see what kind of market Georges Niang has this upcoming offseason. Niang is the kind of player that every single team in the NBA wants right now. He is a stretch forward that can knock down three-point shots in the corner without sacrificing much size.

That being said, his game is rather one-dimensional and he does not offer much on the defensive end. While that tends to create problems in a playoff matchup it does not stop teams from paying for these players as we have seen in the past.

Nianig is not going to get some kind of monster deal in free agency but with the 76ers’ salary-cap situation, anything he gets will probably be too expensive for the team. Instead of paying Niang, the 76ers would be better off trying to find a cost-controlled shooter who could provide the same dynamic.

If Niang is only worth the league minimum or is willing to come back at that price then it is a no-brainer for the 76ers to bring him back into the fold. The chances of that happening are extremely slim, though, meaning that Niang’s time with the team could be coming to an end.
