Of course this season has been about winning a title for the Philadelphia 76ers, but it honestly seems like it’s a little bit more about winning Joel Embiid his first MVP. No team campaigns harder for their guy than the Sixers, but they might not have to make the case anymore if Embiid has one more game like he did on Tuesday against Boston. Embiid dropped 52 in a two point win, so it might be a good idea to back him against Miami tonight.

Let’s dig into the prop market and find the best way to back the MVP favorite.

Heat vs. Sixers best NBA prop bets

Joel Embiid OVER 1.5 blocks (+110)
Joel Embiid OVER 31.5 points (-106)
Jimmy Butler OVER 24.5 points (-106)

Joel Embiid OVER 1.5 blocks (+110)

Embiid dominated on offense and I think he could do that again in this one, but I think there’s value on betting him to thrive on the defensive end. He’s averaging 2.1 blocks per game since the all-star break, up from 1.2 prior to the break. To get over 1.5 at plus odds is a really good bet.

Joel Embiid OVER 31.5 points (-106)

Yeah I’m not done betting on Embiid. He had 52 points against Boston, I mentioned that, but did I mention it came in a game where Philly scored just 103 points. He scored over half of their points and had six assists. He is this entire offense whenever he wants to be and with the MVP still not officially decided, he wants to be.

Jimmy Butler OVER 24.5 points (-106)

Butler was on the 76ers for just a very short time, but I think it was long enough for Sixers fans to understand what he’s all about. He’s a petty, vengeful player who elevates his game several notches when it matters most. Miami is trying to avoid the Play-In Tournament and he’s against a former team. I think he’ll be ready to go.
