Sixers playoff scouting 2023: Nets’ guard Seth Curry
Whether or not his father-in-law is still coaching the Sixers after this postseason, looking to bring back Seth Curry would be a great idea for the Philadelphia 76ers. Let’s be clear, money will be an issue as the salary cap would make it very hard to make this deal without a sign-and-trade.
That being said, Curry was one of the best offensive two-man partners that Joel Embiid has had in his career. Out of all the teams that Curry has played with, he has the highest points per game average at 13.6.
Let’s be clear, unlike in his first stint in Philly, if he were to return, he’d be one of the guys coming off the bench. The crazy part is due to De’Anthony Melton being such a good two-way player, Curry would probably be the second guard off the bench in the 76ers rotation.
Still, having a sharpshooter like Curry coming off the bench for the Sixers moving forward would be a big help, even in a more limited role this time around. Any sign-and-trade would have Furkan Korkmaz and additional contracts as well as a pick or two.
