4. Frank Vogel

Vogel led the Lakers to the 2020 championship inside the bubble in his first year in charge of the team. He got the most out of Anthony Davis and LeBron James as the team won the most unique championship in NBA history.

Vogel reach the playoffs the following season, but his Lakers were bounced in the first round. He was fired after LA missed the playoffs in year three, but the Lakers dealt with injuries to Davis and LeBron along with navigating the failed Russell Westbrook trade.

Don’t let how things ended in Los Angles fool you, Frank Vogel is one of the best coaching candidates on the market. He got the Pacers to back-to-back conference finals in 2013 and 2014 where they fell to the “Big 3” Miami Heat featuring James and Dwyane Wade.

The 49-year-old is going to focus on defense, and he would have arguably the best anchor in the league in Joel Embiid if lands the job in Philadelphia. Vogel has proven to be adaptable to his personnel, and it would be interesting to see how he tries to maximize the Sixers on both ends of the floor.

There are multiple championship coaches on the market right now, and Frank Vogel deserves consideration for all the top jobs. Where will the coach land next season?  No matter the spot, expect him to get the most out of their defense.
