1. Nick Nurse

The Raptors fired Nurse after five years in charge. The 55-year-old has taken one of the most unique coaching journeys to this position, and he is never afraid to think outside the box. Nurse will throw out exotic defenses and do whatever it takes for his team to win.

He helped Toronto win the championship in his first year in charge of the team in 2019. It was Nurse’s only season coaching Kawhi Leonard, and Sixers fans will never forget the iconic shot that propelled the Raptors into the conference finals.

Nick Nurse figures to be one of the hottest names on the coaching market. He is one of the best Xs and Os coaches in the game, and he has a familiarity with Daryl Morey after the now-Sixers president of basketball operations hired him to be the head coach of the Rockets G League affiliate in 2011. Nurse would certainly unlock the Sixers’ offense, and it would be interesting to see all the creative things he could do with Joel Embiid.

Nick Nurse should be at the top of the Philadelphia 76ers’ list of candidates, but it won’t be an easy decision. There are several top coaches on the market, and all of them will be interested in coaching the reigning MVP. Who does Morey choose to lead the team? Stay tuned to find out.
