76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 12. Sacramento Kings
We are starting to enter the territory where deals are a bit more intriguing, though not all of them are realistic. Take this one, for example. The Sacramento Kings probably wouldn’t want to make a trade like this. Right?
First and foremost, this would be a very interesting haul for the Philadelphia 76ers. They wouldn’t have a huge need for Domantas Sabonis, as they would be rebuilding.
However, adding Malik Monk and Davion Mitchell into the mix could create a bit more interest. Both are nice young assets, and Davion Mitchell’s defense could pair nicely with Tyrese Maxey in Philadelephia’s hypothetical backcourt.
Sacramento’s picks wouldn’t be great, but the 76ers could bank on the possibility that De’Aaron Fox and Joel Embiid wouldn’t still be competing for titles by the time they convey.
As for the Kings, it seems unlikely that they’d break up the duo of Fox and Sabonis after just one year. But if Embiid became available, maybe they would.
This would leave them with Fox, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes (if he re-signed), and Embiid. That’s a solid starting five.
As unlikely as this deal may be, it’s a bit interesting for both sides. (But less intriguing for the 76ers.)
