76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 9. Miami Heat
Now that we’re in the top nine offers, we’re starting to get to some that could be on the table. Not only that, but the Philadelphia 76ers might not immediately hang up the phone at some of these.
As always, if a superstar becomes available, the Miami Heat will come calling. That’s just what they do. Don’t expect it to be any different if and when Joel Emdiid becomes available.
The best Miami could offer without blowing up its core completely. There’s a chance they could look to offer Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, but that might be too rich for their blood.
Also, maybe Jimmy Butler would veto this idea, as he’s already played with Embiid. But most of his issues were with Philadelphia, so this would probably be fine.
Nabbing Adebayo as their new centerpiece would be a win for Philadelphia, as he and Tyrese Maxey could form a lethal duo. Plus, the first-round picks might be pretty valuable by the time they convey.
Miami would get to pair Butler with Embiid while still having Herro, Kyle Lowry, and depth by their sides. Considering their postseason success this year, that should be enough to compete.
This isn’t the most unrealistic trade, but Philadelphia would still probably want more in a deal.
