76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 8. New Orleans Pelicans

How crazy would this be? Zion Williamson, a 22-year-old All-NBA player, getting traded just a few years into his young career. The Philadelphia 76ers would certainly have a new centerpiece to build around.

Williamson’s injury history is the only reason this deal isn’t higher up this list. Philadelphia would never be able to count on him to stay on the court, which seriously takes away from his value.

Dyson Daniels would be a nice pick-up for them, too, as he showed some nice tools during his rookie season. The same can be said about Herbert Jones, who looks like a future Defensive Player of the Year candidate.

Add in Kira Lewis Jr. and three potentially valuable firsts, this is intriguing. New Orleans could probably even offer more picks if they wanted, as they own some draft capital by way of the Los Angles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Some may question why the Pelicans would make a trade like this, but it would certainly vault them into title contention. Not only is Joel Embiid a better player than Williamson, but he’s more dependable.

A core of Embiid, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum would be great in the West, especially considering how much depth they would have behind them.

It seems unlikely that the Pelicans would offer up Williamson in a deal, but if they did, this would be one of the most interesting ones for Philadelphia to consider.
