76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 7. Atlanta Hawks
Ever since they took down the Philadelphia 76ers and reached the Eastern Conference finals in 2021, the Atlanta Hawks have been painfully mediocre. This would be their chance to avoid that same fate.
The Philadelphia 76ers could get a massive haul from the Hawks. Dejounte Murray would theoretically pair well with Tyrese Maxey, covering for him on the defensive end.
De’Andre Hunter has shown a ton of promise with the Hawks and could improve even more with a bigger role. The same can be said for both AJ Griffin and Onyeka Okongwu, both of whom are full of potential.
The first-rounders Atlanta could offer wouldn’t be great, but a couple of them would be very far into the future, meaning they could be decent by the time they convey.
Atlanta would pair Trae Young with one of the best big men in the league and the reigning NBA MVP. That duo would be absurd in the pick-n-roll.
Plus, the Hawks would still have some decent depth surrounding the two stars, making this a solid trade for them to consider.
The Hawks may not be the most likely landing spot for Embiid, but this deal isn’t all that bad for either side. It’s at least worth looking at.
