76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 5. Memphis Grizzlies

This is a really solid package for Joel Embiid. The Memphis Grizzlies have put them in a great position to trade for a star, and if the big man becomes available, it could be their chance to strike.

Desmond Bane is one of the best players the Philadelphia 76ers could look to get back in a trade involving Embiid. He’ll be 25 years old by the time next season starts, but he has all the tools to be an All-Star in the NBA, and he played like one last season.

Tyus Jones should be a starting point guard in the NBA, and while his fit next to Tyrese Maxey wouldn’t be great, it’s not terrible, either. Brandon Clarks is an intriguing young center on a solid contract, and Steven Adams would only be included in this deal for salary-matching purposes.

The four first-round picks and two swaps in this deal would sweeten the pot even more for the 76ers. When picks in the distant future are traded, there’s always a chance they could be valuable.

For the Grizzlies, pairing Embiid with the rest of their core should be enough to compete for a championship if they already weren’t. The tandem of Embiid and Jaren Jackson Jr. in the frontcourt would be the best in the NBA.

That being said, the status of Ja Morant’s season after his latest incident may be in question, which could throw a wrench into things. But depending on that, this could be a very intriguing idea for both teams.
