76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 4. Golden State Warriors
This would be equivalent to when the Golden State Warriors signed Kevin Durant, and the worst part is they actually have the assets to make it happen.
As much as the Philadelphia 76ers may not want to aid the Warriors in creating the next great super team, this trade would be pretty solid for them.
Sure, the duo of Jordan Poole and Tyrese Maxey doesn’t sound amazing, but Poole has found success playing next to another ball-dominant guard before. The 76ers could make it work.
Just because Poole had a rough playoff run doesn’t mean he has no value. He showed some serious star potential when he was at his best.
Andrew Wiggins is a win-now player, but he’s only 28 years old. He could help them for a year or the 76ers could simply flip him for more assets, as he’s on a pretty great contract.
Jonathan Kuminga would be another great player for the 76ers to add. He showed a ton of promise on the defensive end last year and could grow into a star if given enough playing time.
Plus, the two first-rounders the 76ers would get could be super valuable, as there’s a small chance the Warriors would still be good by the time they convey.
Golden State’s interest in this deal would be obvious, as they would immediately push themselves toward the top of title contention with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Joel Embiid.
