76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 3. Oklahoma City Thunder

Whoa. This would be insane.

You read that correctly: Eight first-round picks. Not all of them would be created equal, meaning some could be from contending teams and some may not, but eight firsts are eight firsts.

The Philadelphia 76ers would commit to a full-on rebuild in a deal like this, working to create a quality roster around Tyrese Maxey and Josh Giddey.

Adding eight first-round picks to their chest would give them a ton of opportunities moving forward, and the players they would receive are solid, too.

Outside of Giddey, who would highlight this deal as an amazing young point guard, Lu Dort is an elite defender ready to step in and help now, but he’s also only 24 years old.

Both Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Ousmane Dieng are interesting prospects for the 76ers to take a look at, too. But obviously, the eight first-round picks would be the star of the show, here.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder, this would be a massive gamble. Believe it or not, the Thunder would still have draft assets after a move like this. But still, the risk would be huge.

That being said, they would get to pair Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with Joel Embiid, creating one of the most lethal duos in the league. Plus, they’d still have Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Joe, Aleksej Pokusevski, Kenrich Williams, and others as depth. (And maybe the 76ers would ask for some of those pieces.)

With how many draft picks the Thunder could offer, the 76ers would almost definitely listen to their offer. And with how great Gilgeous-Alexander is, Oklahoma City might be willing to make a splash.
