76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 24. Phoenix Suns
Once again, this is yet another team that cannot offer the right amount of assets in a potential deal for Joel Embiid. While the Phoenix Suns may be interested in pairing Embiid with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker (because why would they not be?), they don’t have much to offer.
The Suns could maybe send Chris Paul in a potential deal and take back Tobias Harris, allowing the 76ers to get off that money, but even then, it wouldn’t be worth it.
This is a very similar deal to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks trades. It’s one star-level player surrounded by other middling assets that aren’t worth it for the 76ers.
The only reason this trade ranks higher than the other two is that Ayton is a tiny bit younger and probably has a bit more star potential than Jarrett Allen, even though Allen is (probably) the better player right now.
What’s even worse about this trade, though, is that the Suns could only offer up second-rounders in the deal. In reality, this deal and the Cavaliers and Bucks trades are all in the same section.
None are even close to worth it for the 76ers, no matter how interested the other team might be.
