76ers: One Joel Embiid trade for every team ranked least to most likely: 23. Detroit Pistons

Sorry, Detroit Pistons fans. But this type of offer just wouldn’t be enough to get the job done. But that’s okay!

In all honesty, the Pistons shouldn’t be interested in Joel Embiid, as crazy as that sounds. They have a solid infrastructure in place, and trading picks and young assets for a 30-year-old superstar isn’t something that fits their timeline.

Detroit wouldn’t be interested in giving up Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, or probably even the fifth pick in the 2023 NBA Draft in a deal for Embiid, so past that, this is close to their best offer.

And when it comes down to it, this wouldn’t be enough to entice the Philadelphia 76ers, anyways.

Jalen Duren showed a ton of potential throughout his rookie season, so that would be a nice piece for Philadelphia, but past that, the rest are just middle-of-the-pack assets.

That’s not to say Isaiah Stewart or Killian Hayes don’t have potential, nor that Bojan Bogdanovic isn’t a solid player, but none are good enough to highlight an Embiid trade package alongside Duren.

Again, though, that’s perfectly fine. The Pistons are on a great trajectory, and they’d be smart not to mess with it. It’s safe to say Embiid won’t be playing in Detroit anytime soon.
