B/R mock has the 76ers trading James Harden to the LA Clippers
In this mock trade by Bleacher Report, the Philadelphia 76ers send All-Star guard James Harden to the LA Clippers for guard Brandon Boston Jr., veteran forwards Robert Covington and Marcus Morris Sr., an unprotected first-round pick in 2028, and a top-10 protected first-rounder in 2030.
The Clippers, fresh off another postseason appearance derailed by injuries left and right, have been pegged as the frontrunners to trade for Harden since the former MVP opted into his player option to angle for a trade request. In this case, LA forms a new Big Three with Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George which could easily contend for a championship when healthy.
On the flip side, the Sixers are still torn between yielding to Harden’s trade request with the front office trying to woo him into staying, but with just one year remaining on his contract, running the risk of letting him loose for nothing next year could prompt them to drop the hammer.
Anyhow, how can this trade move the needle for Philly? Let’s zoom in.
