25. Jusuf Nurkic, Trail Blazers

There’s no denying that Jusuf Nurkic has skills as a two-way big, but his health is the main reason the 6-foot-11 big man is where he’s at on this list. All indications pointing towards the Portland Trail Blazers entering a rebuild, his time with the franchise seems to be coming to an end. If it is, it will be interesting to see when it ends and if he is still a starter in his future new time.

24. Jakob Poeltl, Raptors

Jakob Poeltl received a big payday from the Toronto Raptors this offseason. Poeltl is one of the better defensive centers in the NBA but offensively is pretty limited. The 7-foot-1 big man’s purpose in Toronto isn’t to score, so his fit there is just fine.

23. Clint Capela, Hawks

Clint Capela was once one of the most athletic defensive big men in the NBA. While he’s still very good defensively, the 6-foot-10 veteran has lost his elite athleticism. Now Capela is fighting off young big man Onyeka Okongwu for the Atlanta Hawks’ starting job.

22. Mitchell Robinson, Knicks

The 7-foot Mitchell Robinson is a prototypical rim-running defensive center. Robinson does a good job anchoring the New York Knicks’ impressive defense as well as he performs his role offensive well. The biggest issue with the big man is availability.

21. Walker Kessler, Jazz

Despite being a late first-round pick of the Utah Jazz last offseason, Walker Kessler appears to be one of the biggest steals from that draft. The 7-foot-1 big man showed elite defensive talent and potential on the offensive end. He could be in line for a big leap on this list.
