The Sixer Sense Podcast is back with more James Harden drama! Tyrese Maxey, the up-and-coming star guard, ready to take the helm in Philadelphia gives his take on the James Harden situation. Maxey will likely be affected most in terms of playing style if Harden comes back and you will want to hear what he had to say about the drama with his likely soon-to-be former teammate.

Lucas Johnson and Jonathan Geib then debate the Sixers’ wing position and depth on this roster. A wing player has been the main missing link in this team’s makeup for several years now and they will be thin once again at this position entering the 2023-24 season. Tobias Harris starts in this sort of role and his main backups at the moment appear to be Danuel House Jr. and Furkan Korkmaz. Is there any chance the changing of the head coach to Nick Nurse will impact House and Kork’s meaningful playing time this upcoming season? If not should the Sixers look to acquire another wing player?

Two recent contributor articles are the topic of discussion to close out the podcast this week. First up, Uriah Young wrote the “Top 10 Sixers Busts since 2000” article. It is tough reading through some of these Sixers errors as the team would be in a much different situation had all if not just a few of these gone the other way for our franchise. Do you think you can guess some of the busts on this list?

The second article presents the 10 biggest mistakes of just the last decade for the Sixers and again it is extremely disappointing seeing the misdirection time and again. Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, but it is fair to say some of these could have been seen by even ‘casual fans’ as Tobias Harris would call us. If you could do any of these differently, which would be at the top of your list? Leave us a comment on the podcast below!
