Welcome back to The Sixer Sense Podcast with Lucas Johnson and Jonathan Geib! This week’s main topic is a favorite in Philadelphia due to the infamy of Ben Simmons. Simmons sat down with Marc Spears for an interview and although there were a number of topics discussed, there was only one that caught the headlines and is going to be talked about. Ben Simmons essentially said he could see himself returning to Philly. See the exact quote below:

"I’ll always have love for Philly. People always ask me like, ‘If you were to get traded again where you want it to be?’ I always say, ‘Just Philly. Philly is a second home to me."

Yes, this is the same Ben Simmons that passed up a dunk over Trae Young in Game 7 of an Eastern Conference Semifinals and took zero responsibility for the shortcomings of the Sixers teams he was a part of. This is also the same Ben Simmons who sat out more than half of a season and refused to play for the Sixers. That Ben Simmons. In his words again:

"It was a crazy situation at the end, but it is what it is."

Oh, it was crazy, Ben. That is because you made it crazy. And he went with the same “it is what it is” phrase that he said following the Sixers Game 7 Semifinal loss to the Atlanta Hawks. You will want to hear what Lucas and Jonathan have to say about Simmons and his comments. Is there any world where they can see a reunion with the Sixers?

The podcast closes out with Lucas and Jonathan discussing a recent contributor article listing 10 potential players the Sixers could seek in a Tobias Harris trade package. Are any of these players realistic? And which would you most want to get back in a Harris trade? Leave us a comment on the podcast below!
