The Sixer Sense Podcast returns for the second consecutive episode following big NBA trade news. And for the second successive episode, the teams around the Sixers continue to get better. Jrue Holiday’s days-long tenure with the Portland Trailblazers has ended and he is being sent to the Boston Celtics. Yes, that is right. Damian Lillard is a Milwaukee Buck and Jrue Holiday is a Boston Celtic. And the Philadelphia 76ers have remained stagnant.

Once the Damian Lillard trade happened, Jrue was the next big piece to move and it took less than a week. Jrue is an elite perimeter defender and a great floor general who elevates any Championship contender and he will unfortunately do just that in Boston. Lucas Johnson and Jonathan Geib discuss how this trade impacts the Eastern Conference and the NBA, but more specifically the Sixers. Where are the Sixers in the East power rankings and is the season already lost before it has begun?

This week will also see the Sixers media day, where all eyes will be on James Harden, that is if he even shows up. Honestly, I do not expect him to, but if he does Lucas is ready for some drama. Is it possible Harden would double down on his negative comments about Daryl Morey to the media?

The guys close out the podcast with Lucas asking Jonathan his predictions for former Sixers players in the league this upcoming season. There are more than 30 Sixers alumni in the NBA varying from two-way players to stars on their respective teams. See if you agree with Jonathan’s predictions and if you can remember all the players on the list. Give the podcast a listen below!
