Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons still find themselves in the middle of a rebuild after posting the league’s worst record a season ago. Drafting Ausar Thompson with the 5th overall pick has the city excited to see him team up with other young talent like Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.

Washington Wizards

Trading Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns allowed the Wizards to officially begin the rebuilding process. This team will be competing this year, it just won’t be for wins, it will be competing in the NBA Draft Lottery.

Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets drafted Brandon Miller with the second pick of the 2023 NBA Draft and finalized a 5-year contract extension with LaMelo Ball this off-season. While they may not be competing for the playoffs this season, Hornets fans certainly have something to be excited about for the future with Ball, Miller, and P.J. Washington on the roster.
