5. Furkan Korkmaz

After falling out of the rotation last season, many expected Furkan Korkmaz to be moved this summer. But due to what’s likely a justifiably dry market for his services, the Philadelphia 76ers will remain his home for the seventh straight season — an incredibly lengthy tenure for a role player who has repeatedly asked for a trade in explicit fashion.

Korkmaz’s chances of his annual prayers to be traded finally taking shape will be at its peak this season. Owed fully guaranteed money, the Turkish sniper will be a readily available conduit for the 76ers to make a quick change or address a more pressing need on the roster via trade.

Alternatively, like Harrell, he can be a salary filler, as he’s on deck for $5 million this season. That’s also not to discount the possibility of the 76ers even getting something in return for him alone if he manages to get a bigger role with the team somehow and delivers as a three-point marksman — the cheap variants of which are always attractive options for most teams.

Nevertheless, this season should be the extinguishing point of a partnership that has long usurped  its actual expiry date.
