3. Delon Wright (PG/SG — Washington Wizards)

Speaking of silent operators, Delon Wright may be far from a household name even to the most devout fans of the NBA, but he has carved for himself a lengthy career as a do-it-all combo guard who remains a rotation staple in whatever team he dons a uniform for.

Since getting drafted in 2015, Wright has been one of the more stable and effective second-unit backcourt weapons in the league. His offense won’t wow you, but he’s comfortable just picking his spots, deferring when needed, and functioning as a secondary release valve.

Where the veteran shines, however, is on the defensive end. Lanky, smart, and experienced, he is particularly effective in one-on-one situations, In fact, he ranked second among all players in defensive playmaking last season — a testament to his eclectic impact on the less glamorous end of the court.

Sure, having De’Anthony Melton and Patrick Beverley moderates the need for Wright, but the 76ers are just an injury away from being shaky in the backcourt, especially in anticipation of the inevitable James Harden trade. Thus, calling the Wizards for his services should be an option the front office will hardly look into.
