The first 50-point game of Joel Embiid’s career came at home against the Chicago Bulls. The Sixers won a close one by the score of 112-105 behind 50 points from Joel Embiid. It wasn’t just scoring, Joel stuffed the stat sheet in dominant fashion en route to this victory.

4. January 28, 2023

A marquee matchup between MVP candidates allowed Joel Embiid to shine against Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets. The 76ers trailed by 15 points at the half, but Embiid decided to take over. The Sixers won 126-119 behind 47 points from Joel Embiid.

3. April 4, 2023

Another 50-point outing for Joel Embiid came at the end of last season. Embiid shot 80% from the field in this win over the Boston Celtics. Embiid became the first player to record 50-plus points, 10-plus rebounds, and five-plus assists against the Celtics since the 1971-72 season. Sixers won a nail-biter, 103-101. This was Embiid’s 9th 40-point, 10-rebound game and 3rd 50-point game of the season. This performance went a long way in securing the Most Valuable Player Award.

2. November 15, 2017

All the way back in 2017, Joel Embiid had the first major breakout performance of his career. Against the Los Angeles Lakers, young Joel Embiid led his team to a 115-109 victory on the road. Embiid was dominant on both ends of the floor and this performance gave Sixers fans a glimpse into what they could expect in the years to come.

The greatest performance of Joel Embiid’s career thus far came early in the 2022-2023 campaign. The Sixers defeated the Utah Jazz at home by a score of 105-98. Joel Embiid was unstoppable, scoring a career-high 59 points on just 28 field goal attempts. Embiid got it done on both ends of the floor contributing 11 rebounds and 7 blocks as well. When this close game came down to the 4th quarter, Embiid got the ball and went to work scoring 26 of the team’s 27 fourth-quarter points. In this game, he became the first player in NBA history to reach at least 50 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and 5 blocks in a single game since blocks became an official stat in 1973.
