30. PF/C Karl-Anthony Towns, Timberwolves
Let’s be clear, if Karl-Anthony Towns was playing his natural position at center, he would probably be higher on this list. However, playing power forward this season for the Timberwolves this season will keep him from being a truly elite big man. That being written, he’s still one of the best 3-point shooting big men in NBA history.
29. PG De’Aaron Fox, Kings
Last season De’Aaron Fox became a closer for the Kings last season which helped them become the third-best regular season team in the Western Conference last season. He’s always been one of the fast guards in the NBA, but last season he became a reliable shooter. Now the question is can he and the Kings replicate their success from last season?
28. PG Jalen Brunson, Knicks
Jalen Brunson was easily the breakout player of the year last season if there were such a reward. The point guard was key in the Knicks’ success last season and proved he was a top-10 point guard. However, can he take another step in his game to make the Knicks a true contender in the Eastern Conference?
27. PF Pascal Siakam, Raptors
If the Raptors have a slow start to the season, then Pascal Siakam will become the biggest name on the trade markets, and yes that includes Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden. Siakam is a top-5 power forward in the NBA and would instantly make a playoff team a contender. He should be on the 76ers radar if that becomes the case.
26. PG Trae Young, Hawks
Last season wasn’t a good one for All-Star point guard Trae Young. He struggled with efficiency and defense. That being said, the Hawks guard is still one of the best playmakers in the NBA and will probably bounce back this year.
