85. SF Keldon Johnson, Spurs
Up to this point, Keldon Johnson has been the best player on the San Antonio Spurs for the past several seasons. However, thanks to the past draft, that is about to change. It will be interesting to see what type of role the burly small forward will adjust to considering the change in terms of scoring hierarchy with Wembanyama and Devin Vassell.
84. SF Keegan Murray, Kings
Last season, Keegan Murray had a quietly impressive rookie season with the Sacramento Kings. He was essentially the fifth option on a playoff contender and figures to be in line for a bigger role this year. This seems especially true after the small forward’s impressive play in the Summer League.
83. C Kevon Looney, Warriors
It took a few years, but the Golden State Warriors have finally developed an ideal center for their offensive system. Kevon Looney is a defensively versatile big man who can rebound and pass at a high level. It could be argued that if he was on another team, he’d be even more impressive as a scorer.
82. SG Jordan Clarkson, Jazz
It appears that Jordan Clarkson has found a home with the Utah Jazz. Despite the Jazz being in the middle of a rebuild, the former sixth man of the year has embraced being the team’s veteran. The shooting guard should continue to be one of the better reserves in the NBA.
81. C Nic Claxton, Nets
Nic Claxton finally shined last season on the defensive end for the Nets. He was one of the best shot blockers last season and became dangerous in the pick-and-roll game. It will be interesting how he will fit with Simmons who is also a non-shooter in Brooklyn this season.
