Stock skyrocketing: Joel Embiid

The reigning MVP is not garnering a ton of buzz, but new head coach Nick Nurse has unlocked plenty for Embiid and the Sixers. The Process is averaging a career-high 6.2 assists per game and has hit 42.9 percent from 3-point range in the early going.

Embiid’s monster stat line against the Wizards returned him to his MVP numbers as he averages 32.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks each night for the season to go with his six-plus dimes. The 29-year-old is in the middle of his prime and ready to lead the 76ers on a deep playoff run. Expect monster stats and plenty of excitement along the way.

Embiid’s stock is further up for not missing a tick after the James Harden drama. The Beard is gone and no star returned to Philadelphia. Many worried that would result in The Process requesting a trade. Instead, he keeps leading his team to wins and putting up monster numbers. Embiid can win a second straight MVP and lead the Sixers on a deep playoff run.

The best is yet to come from Joel Embiid this season. Expect him to average over 30 points and put up massive defensive stats. Will it result in wins and a championship? That is what the 29-year-old is chasing and his happiness lies with getting done.
