He's going to play for the City of Brotherly Love, but that doesn't mean soft love. When your brother is wrong, you let him know--hold him accountable. LeBron James knows the deal, and he urges Sixers fans to stay on top of it.

"They know sports--they know ball," LeBron told reporters, while wearing a Sixers uniform for the first time in his career. "If you're not doing what you're supposed to do, they're gonna let you hear it. I'm excited about that--holding people accountable."
LeBron didn't need to ask for it, but let that serve as a reminder to fans not to ease up on one of the greatest players the game has seen. In the past, select Sixers fans might've treated LeBron slightly differently because they wanted a chance to lure him in. He's here now, and he wants the full experience. So, deliver it when necessary.
Seen it all, done it all
There are fans who follow LeBron James everywhere he goes. There are also fans who target LeBron when they are rooting for the team going against him. Being the player he is, he tends to attract more of the heckling. The veteran forward has dealt with that for a long time, and has been on the wrong side of a Philly crowd before. The 2026-2027 NBA season won't be any different for him.
"I need a little hate," James said with a smile. "I hope we can get some people that's not like real Philly fans and we just put them in the crowd so I can get that tension." I'm sure he won't need the artificial vibe if he's off his game and in need of motivation.
