The Philadelphia 76ers concluded their 2025 NBA Draft stint, going away with two brand new prospects to add to their uber-talented roster in VJ Edgecombe with the third overall pick and Johni Broome with the 35th overall selection.

It’s certainly not perfect, but fans can now look forward to the 76ers front office making good their promise to infuse more youth and sustainability into the roster — a badly needed pivot from their erstwhile penchant for veterans and more established commodities.

Having said that, Daryl Morey and his crew are not finished making additions just yet, having tapped into the undrafted players market shortly after the 2025 NBA Draft.

As first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the 76ers are bringing in Hunter Sallis out of Wake Forest, who now goes to Philly on a two-way NBA contract for next season.

Sallis, a 6’5” shooting guard, is coming off his senior season with the Demon Deacons. He previously declared for the 2024 NBA Draft, but ultimately withdrew last year to focus on his final season with Wake Forest.

He now arrives in Philly as another addition to a 76ers backcourt already teeming with talent. Between Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain, Quentin Grimes, VJ Edgecombe, and for now, Jared Butler, the 76ers have a slew of backcourt cogs who can all play heavy minutes next season.

That makes this all the more ideal for Sallis. He will most likely spend most of his time in the G-League, and will have the opportunity to play with his mother team whenever Maxey or McCain, who’s coming off a serious injury, is sidelined due to injury or rest.

Sallis will be able to showcase what he’s got right off the bat with the Summer League commencing next month. For now, the Philadelphia 76ers get even richer in the backcourt with their incoming rookie.
