76ers vibes will be the most volatile in the entire NBA this season

Vibes are high for the Philadelphia 76ers right now, but that's liable to switch up in a heartbeat.

Right now, as training camp gets underway, it seems like the vibes are great for the Philadelphia 76ers. Everybody is thrilled to get underway with the new season, everybody is excited to play together, and everybody only has nice things to say. But talk is sweet during training camp. Every team is excited. Every team is hyped to begin the year. But once the results start coming in, tunes can change quickly.

This Sixers team has extremely high expectations. If the 76ers don’t win a championship this season, it’s going to be viewed as a disappointment. LeBron James effectively said as much when he said he didn’t leave his family just to lose in the second round. So, the second things start going south for the 76ers, the vibes could switch on a dime.

The volatility that’s going to exist within the 76ers’ locker room this season needs to be watched very carefully. Because things could get very dangerous very quickly.

76ers vibes are going to be very volatile

With high expectations comes high emotions. When a team isn’t meeting the bar that’s set for it, the players and coaching staff tend to get on edge. And from that spawns drama.

Every year of his career, James has been expected to win a title. If his team falls anywhere short of that, then people are going to be upset. And perhaps more notably, he’s not going to be too happy, either.

This year is even more different, though. James left the Los Angeles Lakers. He made a major free-agent decision, carefully selecting the final landing spot of his career.

He eventually chose the 76ers. He chose to team up with Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe. He chose to form a modern-day super team in the Eastern Conference.

Because of that, the expectations are higher than ever. And in turn, if the 76ers fail to achieve their goals, the noise will be louder than ever, too. Thus, the mood in the locker room is liable to flip.

If the 76ers start losing this year, players are going to be mad. The 76ers have some pretty big personalities in their locker room. Right now, everyone is getting along, but it’s not guaranteed to remain that way.

James isn’t afraid to speak his mind when things aren’t going well. Neither is Brown. Both will voice their opinions in a heartbeat, and if those opinions differ, things could get weird.

Philly has some of the highest expectations in the league this year. And certainly the most eyes on them. The mood will get very volatile if everything doesn’t go to plan.
